On Saturday, August 12th, Living Music hosted our first ever community music making event! We had over 40 toddlers come out to the Komminsk Legacy Park in New Bremen. We sang songs, played instruments, marched around with scarves and parachutes, smiled, laughed, and had SO MUCH FUN!
For me, this is pure happiness-focusing on the process of being together IN music. The musical sound itself is second best to the meaning-making and experience of playing together, smiling together, and being together in this unique and creative way.
I am so grateful to have this park in our small, beautiful town. Living Music has big dreams for this place including more children’s music events, drum circles for all ages, and collaborative events with others in the community.
